About this Entry
I just finished watching it, after waiting it to get to the library for a week. While watching, I took notes as well...over half on what I was doing, but I still think you may find them quite or somewhat amusing. Many spoilers, summary of each scene...the two kind of come together, s'long as you don't write up a converse.

So, the other day, I was watching All About Eve. And I kept thinking about how at the Oscars of 1950, it took pretty much every Ocsar from S.B. Which do you guys think should have won for Best Picture?

And another thing to note: neither Bette Davis or Gloria Swanson won Best Actress. Between the two of them, which do you think best deserved that award? And could it have been that the fact that the characters they played were similar enough to lose it for both of them?

(As a petty revenge I would like to add that Sunset Boulevard is listed as number 31 of the best films ever on imdb.com, and All About Eve is 53. :: giggles :: )

I made a SB quiz on my friendtest...just scroll down, and you should see the title. It's on the musical, and isn't that great, but if you're bored, it's something to do. Also, feedback on it would be appreciated.

About this Entry
I am the Tani. I've been obsessed with Sunset Boulevard for quite a while now, and have both the movie and musical soundtracks. Patti LuPone is the spiffin'est. Woot. The film is my favourite movie. Woot. I've never seen the musical...I missed the Petula Clark tour when it came through my place. The remembrance of that always pisses me off. Anyway, toodles for now.

Well, I know I've been just awful about keeping this community up, but hey, Speech is a drainer of time. Excuses, excuses, I know.

Now, I redid the layout (frankly because it was product of one of my first IrfanView uses), and a nicer one will be on the way, when I can find some good SB pictures (:: coughHINTHINTcough :: ).

Hi! I'm Sarah and I'm 15 and Sunset Boulevard is my FAVORITE film. I can't express to you what it means to me! I have the whole movie memorized and used to watch it every day. I'm so excited for this community! Sunset Boulevard is such a big part of my life and I'm glad i have some people to share that with.

Does anybody have the SUnset Boulevard Movie to Musical book? I bought it and have read the part on the movie. Great pics!

Anybody who wants to add me as a friend-go for it.

New member here.  New member who has been considering making a Sunset community of her own for absolutely ages and never got around to it, so emphatic 'hurrah' for whoever started this one...

I've been a Sunset fan since April 1st 2002 (yes, I remember the exact date), love the movie (as my current LJ layout will demonstrate), and completely fell in love with the last UK tour.  But that's another story too long to tell in a first post.

I have lots and lots and lots of thoughts on SB running around my brain on a regular basis and nobody to discuss them with, so, hopefully I might get to bounce a few of them around in here.

Whoever started this community, I think I love you. :)

I just joined "starsareageless" ... looks like I'm the first member.  Neato :)

I'm so happy there's a group devoted just to Sunset Boulevard -- I love love love it.  I'd have to say my favorite line of the whole film was when Norma was showing one of her old films and said, "We didn't need dialogue, we had faces!"  Classic.

I've never seen Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's stage version, but I've heard it's just magnificent.  Pretty much anything he does is.

Aight, well I'm out for now, can't wait to talk about this fantastic movie...

Tala :)
